Xeomin

Xeomin is a highly purified form of botulinum toxin, similar to Botox. However, unlike Botox, Xeomin undergoes a specialized manufacturing process that isolates the active botulinum toxin molecule and removes all surrounding proteins. This increased purity reduces the likelihood of developing antibodies that could render the treatment ineffective. Additionally, it’s clean molecular structure gives it the potential for faster onset and longer-lasting results compared to other botulinum toxin products.

How does Xeomin work?

Xeomin is an injectable treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by containing a neuromodulator that interrupts the signals between nerves and facial muscles, preventing them from contracting. This targeted muscle-blocking action helps smooth and soften wrinkles in the treated areas.

What are the benefits of Xeomin?

If you are noticing signs of aging around your eyes, lips, or other areas of the face, Xeomin® may be an appropriate treatment option for you. It’s benefits may include:

  • Minimized appearance of skin imperfections
  • More youthful appearance
  • No downtime
  • Less risk of allergic reactions

Can I use Xeomin instead of Botox?

Some people build up a resistance to the large Botox® molecule, causing it to become less effective over time. In such cases, Xeomin® can be an excellent alternative. Conveniently, the dosing units are identical, allowing for a seamless one-step conversion. A skilled injector can complete the procedure in just 10 minutes. The wrinkle reduction treatment delivers a more youthful appearance by temporarily smoothing forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet.

Pictures

Say “cheese”

Pictures taken before the procedure provide a better view and understanding of the areas to be treated, and can be consulted when discussing specific goals with the practitioner. When compared to your “After” pictures, they are an effective way to track treatment results over time.

Diagnosis

Personalized muscle diagnosis

The practitioner first conducts a personalized assessment of your facial anatomy and marks the exact injection points with a white makeup pencil. You will be asked to frown, raise your eyebrows, and smile widely to help determine the strength of your facial muscles and to identify the best treatment for achieving optimal results.

Injections

Begin treatment

The procedure lasts only a few minutes. No anesthesia is needed since injections are made with a small-gauge needle that minimizes any discomfort. Using the marked points as a guide, the practitioner proceeds with injections and determines the minimum amounts needed to achieve the desired effect.
