When you arrive for your Kybella appointment in Indianapolis, we will take “before” images of you. Once you’re settled in for your actual treatment, you will be given numbing cream underneath your chin, followed by a temporary tattoo dot grid to help guide your specialist.
You can expect roughly 10 to 50 injections over the course of several minutes. You will feel them, but discomfort will be very minimal due to the numbing cream. You may also feel a burning sensation which is the actual chemical, but you will be given ice packs to help with this. Most patients find the treatment very tolerable.
Afterward, you will be wrapped with a compression bandage, and your chin may feel slightly sore. Kybella generally works best after 2 to 4 treatments, spaced six weeks apart.
